Introduction to the Internet Part I: Get Connected
Monday, June 2nd, 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Location: Netzer Room, Christian County Library
In this class we will discuss where the internet came from. We will discuss what equipment that you need to connect to the internet and what types of software are available. Introduction to the Internet Part II: Searching

Introduction to the Internet Part III: Online Communications

This course, the third part in our series, is all about settings. Learn that it is okay to go into the Control Panel on your computer and some of the functions that it can perform. Learn how to change your desktop settings and give your computer a more customized look. Learn about some built-in features that make your computer more accessible. Registration required. Introduction to the Internet Part IV: Cyber Security

Would you like to get online but are afraid to catch a virus? Would you like to begin paying bills or shopping online but are afraid that a cyber-criminal will steal your credit card or other personal information? Join us at the Christian County Library for our Library Community Course, Cyber Security, and learn how to be more careful and aware while online and in your e-mail box. Introduction to Computers Part I: Meet the Computer
Monday, July 7th, 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Location: Netzer Room, Christian County Library
When learning to use a computer it is best to begin at the beginning. Learn how to turn on the computer. Learn what the basic computer parts are and what they do. Learn how to use a mouse and a touchpad. Learn what the keyboard does how to increase your typing skills. Learn about storage devices. What are they and what do they do? Introduction to Computers Part II: Software

In the second part of our introduction to computer series we will learn about software. What is the difference between hardware and software? What is software and what job does it perform? We will be talking about operating systems and then discuss the differences between them. Finally, we will talk about what windows are and learn how to manipulate them. Registration required.
