Arts and Crafts

Mother/Daughter Macramé (Everyone Welcome)
Saturday, August 4th, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Location: Netzer Room, Christian County Library
Macramé is the art of tying knots in patterns. Crafter Cynthia Elledge will teach macramé for the whole family.  Mothers, daughters, fathers, and sons of all ages welcome. Beginning Rug Hooking

Cyber Security
Saturday, August 11th, 2:00-3:00 p.m.
Location: James Room, The Center, Nixa
Would you like to get online but are afraid to catch a virus? Would you like to begin paying bills or shopping online but are afraid that a cyber criminal will steal your credit card or other personal information? Join us at the Christian County Library for our Library Community Course, Cyber Security, and learn how to be more careful and aware while online and in your e-mail box. E-Reader Petting Zoo
Saturday, August  18th, 1:00-2:30 p.m.
Location: Netzer Room, Christian County Library
Have you considered purchasing an e-reader but aren’t sure where to start? Would you like to try out different e-readers in a pressure-free setting? Do you have questions about how your e-reader works? Come to our E-Reader Petting Zoo, where you can try out a Kindle Touch, Kindle Fire, Nook Simple Touch, Nook Tablet, and an iPad. You’ll also be able to ask library technology staff questions about e-readers, e-books, and Missouri Libraries 2 Go. No registration required.

Downloading E-Books from the Library
