Computers and Technology

Introduction to E-Mail
Monday, July 9th, 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Location: Dorothy Netzer Meeting Room, CCL
Want to communicate with friends and family through e-mail? Do you need to apply for jobs or use websites that require you to have an e-mail address? If you’ve never had an e-mail account or would want to know more about using e-mail, this class is for you. We’ll help you set up a free e-mail account and learn basic e-mail tasks. Introduction to the Internet
Saturday, July 14th, 2:00-3:00 p.m.
Location: James Room, The Center, Nixa
This is a very basic internet class. Learn terms such as browser, URL, search engine, and  links. After this class you will be able to open a browser, navigate to a website, and navigate within a website. Registration required. Call (417)581-2432 or CLICK HERE.

Downloading E-Books from the Library

Genealogy and History
Start Your Family Tree
Saturday, July 21st, 10:00-11:00 a.m.
Location: Netzer Room, Christian County Library
Begin at the beginning. This Library Community Course covers the basics on tracing your family history. It's made for anyone who would like to start working on their genealogy, and those who would like to get the work that they have already done organized in order to continue their research or CLICK HERE.
